Small design decisions matter. We intentionally use screws and nuts instead of driving screws with sharp points directly through enclosure. This eliminates exposed sharp points that would otherwise exist if standard screws were used alone. In addition to cuts and scrapes, those exposed points can also potentially pierce wiring, creating an unsafe condition inside the unit.
Wire Management and Internal Layout
A clean internal layout isn’t just about appearance.
Proper routing, the use of cable glands, and secure connections reduce wear over time and help create a more reliable deer blind battery system—especially in environments where equipment is transported, bounced around, or exposed to vibration.
DIY Deer Blind Power Banks vs Buying One
There’s nothing wrong with building your own deer blind battery box.
But DIY builders should understand that battery systems require more than simply connecting components together. Proper fuse protection, mounting methods, wiring practices, and component selection all matter. Proper wire gauge is also critical and must be calculated based on expected amp draw. Too much current running through undersized wire can create heat buildup and become a fire hazard.
